Fund our Self-Harm Recovery Workshops 2022

We want to run 10 self-harm recovery workshops in 2022. These workshops are therapeutic group sessions that run for 10 weeks where we help attendees understand their self-harm, reduce the risks and eventually stop self-harming.

Story

Scar Cover Up Freedom Fund (SCUFF) is a small registered charity supporting those struggling with self-harm, their carers (professional and personal) and those left with self-harm scars. In 2021 we started running our self-harm recovery workshops. These are group therapeutic sessions that run for 10 weeks with the aim of educating attendees about how the brain works, helping them to understand why they are self-harming, working with their support network to keep them safe, reduce the risks of self-harm and eventually stop self-harming.

Those that have completed the workshop have: learned more about themselves, found ways of communicating with their family and friends in a productive way, learned the tools they need to reduce their risks and stay safe and have all stopped self-harming. These sessions are life changing, they are in demand and we want to run more!

In 2022 we are aiming to run 10 self-harm recovery workshops in Bradford and surrounding areas. By 2023 we want to be training others across the UK to run more of these workshops. Each of these workshops currently costs us around £1000 to run so we need your help to keep them going!

Please donate generously to help change lives!
