We know you love the FRIENDS of CALS Basement Used Booksale and we know you've missed it. So have we. We thought since you are reading anyway, either for pleasure or school, why not read to support the library and win some cool prizes? How do I join, you ask? It's easy!

How to Join the Read-a-Thon

Step 1: Determine how many books/magazines, etc. you will read in September and how much money you want to raise.

Step 2: Develop your team page by clicking on 'Start fundraising'.

Step 3: Send the link from your team page to your family and friends and ask them to sponsor you for an amount per book read.

Step 4: Start reading and report back to your sponsors on your team page. Your sponsors give through your team page so no pesky task of collecting money.

The FRIENDS of CALS (Central Arkansas Library System) is a membership group of passionate library supporters. Each year the FRIENDS raise money to supplement programs for children and adults at each of the 15 library branches. Programs supported include Summer Reading Club, Book Club kits, movie and music licensing fees, Read to Me (a program for infants and toddlers), and Six Bridges Book Festival. Since 2017, the FRIENDS have contributed over $160,000 to the library.
