Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal

The Foundation supports those who's lives have been and continue to be devastated by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

In the aftermath of the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake, thousands have been injured and displaced from their homes, desperate for essentials such as fresh water and food, as food stocks and supplies run low and many on the brink of starvation.

The Fine & Country Foundation has donated £10,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal in our mission to combat homelessness and poverty. We are now rallying the Fine & Country network, the wider property industry and friends and family to donate, fundraise and hopefully match our donation and reach £20,000 for the cause.

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
