Foster Walk is back and bigger than ever! This year hundreds of people from the fostering community, friends and supporters are taking on the challenge of walking a combined 5 million steps over Foster Care Fortnight, 9 22 May.

There are over 70,000 children and young people living with foster families across the UK today and the number is rising. Every 20 minutes another child comes into care in need of a foster family.

Our vital foster families give children the love, support and stability that they so desperately need, often providing their first positive experience of family life. They deserve and need our support.

We are celebrating the strength and resilience of our fostering communities by walking as one. And we are raising funds to provide better frontline advice and support services to foster families, to ensure their needs are recognised and acted on and to introduce new models of foster care that give children the best possible experience of care.
