Story

Rory McEwens extraordinary artistry: manifested in music, painting and sculpture is a symbol for the creative DNA of the McEwen family and the community they built at Marchmont.

The ways we find community and inspiration today are more important than ever.

In honour of Rory and his incredible output of artistic work we are creating an Artist Residency programme in the studios he created at Fogo. We are grateful for any support you can offer in helping us create this special programme.

Residents will be given the time, space, freedom, and financial support to concentrate upon the development of their own work. The programme will support those wishing to focus upon specific projects and those aiming to develop new ideas without the demands of deadlines or public presentation. This is enhanced through a series of events designed to promote discussion between all the artists in our community.
