Story
Safe water protects and saves lives.
Last year you donated an incredible £6,000 to help provide support against Covid-19 for people in India and Nepal.
Right now, India is in the grip of its second wave of infection. The country has recorded more than 22,000,000 cases and 234,000 deaths from Coronavirus. We need your help to raised a further £6,000 to supply masks, sanitiser and soap to some of India's most vulnerable communities in the Indian states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
There are 163 million people in India who have no access to safe water - more than any other country in the world. Like the UK, the poorest and most vulnerable people are most at risk, especially those who have no access to safe water in or even near to their homes.
We are working with our partners in India to provide some of the country's most marginalised communities with soap, face masks, medical equipment and information that will keep people safe and prevent the spread of disease.
Over the last 15 years, you have provided nearly half a million people in India and Nepal with safe, clean water, sanitation and good hygiene. Thanks to you, they can protect themselves from the pandemic.
Now more than ever, safe water can save lives.
It costs £60 to provide a family with safe water for life, building their resilience for the future and giving them a chance to break free from a life of poverty and disadvantage.
With your support, we can provide families with life-saving access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene. We can slow the spread of Covid-19 and build resilience for the future. Save lives with safe water and donate today. Thank you.
