ABOUT US

Fox & Friends Highland are a new charity/social enterprise working throughout the Scottish Highlands. We believe that everyone should have access to activities and support in their hometown and that no one should feel alone or isolated in our little corner of the world.

Our vision is to offer a variety of services that bring people together in their community, to have fun, build relationships and seek support if they need it. Our services offer opportunities for people from every generation to come together to create a positive impact on health and wellbeing.

Through a variety of clubs, classes, and events, we aim to help and support people in their community, giving them somewhere to turn when they need it most. We know that by creating more opportunities for people, we can enable them to lead happier, healthier lives whilst giving them the tools they need to build stronger, more resilient communities throughout the Scottish Highlands.

OUR MISSION

As part of our service, we want to run several all-inclusive ASN Family groups and events called FOX FOR ALL. Starting in the Inverness & Easter Ross areas and spreading further afield as funding allows, we are keen to be accessible to as many people as we can.

We have spoken to many different families and current support organisations to identify the need for a new ASN family group in several areas all over the Highland. Many ASN families have said they feel isolated and alone in their parenting journey, mainly due to a lack of opportunities for their children, right into adulthood. Therefore, we are very keen to launch this element of our service sooner rather than later.

These groups will offer opportunities and support to families living with a child or adult with an Additional Support Need, ensuring that every family has opportunities to come together in their community to have fun, feel included and support each other.

We will welcome extended family members, carers & their friends to come along and enjoy our activities. Each group will be adapted around the families who attend, but may include things like; Family fundays, arts & crafts, music sessions, gardening, baking or afternoon teas.

We hope that by offering a range of events and clubs where everyone can come together to have fun, experience new things and feel supported in their community, we can help them to feel valued and included in their communities while improving their quality of life.

HERE'S THE CATCH!

As we are a new charity, with plans to offer a wide range of services across the board, we have a lot of work to do to get us off the ground. If we are to offer this element of our service any time soon, we are going to need your help. In a nutshell, if we can raise £5000 we can get FOX FOR ALL up and running in the coming months, which will know will be a huge help to many families all over the Highlands.

Every penny raised by Fox & Friends Highland goes straight back into our work in the community, allowing us to run our clubs and events which offer a range of opportunities for people all over the Highlands.
