Story

Only months after the completion of a huge restoration project of the building externals we have discovered some dry rot in amongst the pews inside. This is a direct result of fixing the water ingress issues when we installed multiple new drains outside the historic church. This has allowed the wood inside to dry out to a level that lets dry rot thrive.

The Church is lovingly cared for day to day by the local parishioners and the Lovat family. Their support and assistance in the practical running and maintenance of the Church is appreciated by everyone who visits either as tourist or for the Mass, but restoration costs like this are reliant on wider support.

The total cost to fix the dry rot is £35k. If you are able to donate towards helping fix this dry rot issue we would be so grateful to receive any donations to the Trust Fund via Just Giving. https://www.justgiving.com/eskadalechurchrestoration

Many thanks in advance from the Eskadale Trustees Committee
