Story
At Christmas, we're reminded of Good King Wenceslas, who took pity on a poor woodsman gathering winter fuel, and took steps to ease his poverty for a time. East Grinstead is of course where the famous Christmas Carol was written, so it's especially appropriate that the town and its Lions Club should think about the Good King and his Good Deeds at this time, and give some thought for the needy: particularly those in fuel and other seasonal poverty. We're running the winter Wenceslas Campaign to ask those who receive the Winter Fuel Allowance to consider donating some or all of it to benefit those in the local community in poverty and struggling to keep warm this Winter.
Please click on the Donate button above; or visit the Club's website for other methods of donating: https://www.eastgrinsteadlions.co.uk
On behalf of the families and individuals we can help this winter, East Grinstead Lions would like to thank you for your kind donation.
