Story

We're Devon and Cornwall Food Action, we're a registered charity working hard to try and eradicate food poverty in Devon & Cornwall. This year has been extremely busy for us and with job losses increasing due to the pandemic, we're only expecting it to get busier. This year we have supplied thousands of food boxes to people, with over £500,000 worth of food being diverted to people in need!

Our charity solely exists through donations from the public, so please know that your donation really will help us. Just a £10 donation can help us to help feed an average family for a week!

Please donate whatever you can to help us, help others in 2021.

DCFA is not a foodbank. We work with food producers and supermarkets to redistribute surplus food to those in need. We supply a number of services, community organisations and groups. Through their various means testing schemes produce is distributed to those that have been identified as being in desperate need to feed themselves and their families.

Thank you so much for your support.

About the charity

We are a registered charity, striving to eradicate food poverty in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. It is an unfortunate fact that food poverty exists within the shores of the United Kingdom. We are run almost entirely by a brilliant volunteer workforce and are constantly on the hunt to expand the team, if you could give us some of your time, even as little as 4 hours per week, then get in touch to tell us about your unique skillset and how you'd like to become one of the team…we'd love to hear from you. Help with all fields within the charity would be amazing - Marketing - Collections - Distributing - sorting - IT and website maintenance, the list is endless. DCFA is not a foodbank.
