As a member-run, Scottish registered charity, Changing the Chemistry's (CtC's) vision is to Change the Chemistry in the boardroom so that people and boards embrace diversity of thought. For CtC, diversity of thought isn't just about gender, it's also about all types of protected characteristics, as well as cognitive and experiential diversity.

CtCs impact is tangible. We have:

675 members, our members have filled c. 300 board roles, and over 33 chair appointments

supported multiple organisations with board recruitment including the Scottish Government, VisitScotland, South of Scotland Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, SEPA, Edinburgh College and Scottish Fire & Rescue Service

CtC is excited to be building on our 10 years of success by amplifying our voice within our community and across a wider audience. Membership of CtC is free and open to all supporting those seeking their first board role and those who are existing board members who want to continue to develop to be effective in their roles.

To do this we are changing and improving the way we communicate with our members, supporters and stakeholders. Demand for our services means we have outgrown the capabilities of our current communications platform and now require to move to a new, fully accessible, user-friendly one so we can engage effectively and continue to provide support.

This new platform will be fully accessible and mobile friendly. It will allow seamless engagement between members, easy access to diversity resources, board recruitment opportunities, coaching, training opportunities and events.

For our members this means an improved member experience:

access to best practice for existing board members allowing them to become more effective

vastly improved efficiency for our volunteers

For our stakeholders this means

greater reach for board recruitment

enhanced sponsorship opportunities and Affiliate membership coverage

Following a robust research and benchmarking process, the CtC Board has approved this new platform and is excited about the opportunities it will deliver to drive our strategy forward for our second decade.
