Story
Last year 48 million people had to flee their homes due to violence and conflict. Someone fled almost every second. That's a new record: over 83 million currently displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict and human rights abuses
While the cost of responding to conflict is huge, we hardly invest in the prevention. Rights for Peace focuses on transitional justice and countering identity-based violence in countries where divisions are fueling atrocities.
Join us and help prevent? On Sunday 19th June 2022, Rights for Peace is hosting a sponsored cycle through the steep and hilly Chiltern. Starting at the Stag & Huntsman pub in Hambleden, the event includes several circular routes for different abilities: the Fabulous Fifty (50km) and the Hilly Hundred (100km) and a super challenge. Set to be an enjoyable yet challenging day through the picturesque Chiltern Hills: don't miss it!
Your support will help counter identity-based discrimination and violence recurring in Sudan and South Sudan. See some of our work .
The event is accessible by train and car from London with on-site parking. Refreshments will be available at the Pub throughout the day.
