Every quarter, the Chapman Cultural Center awards Spartanburg artists and non-profit/government agencies with funding to complete performing, visual, literary, crats, and folk art projects.

Community Grants awardees can use funds awarded to market or promote their business, purchase a printing press or sewing machine to bolster their art production, participate in public art projects, and so much more! Artists can grow their businesses and non-profits can provides art to clients as a form of healing.

We are asking the Spartanburg community to help us raise funds on Giving Tuesday to support 12 more artists or non-profit/government agencies in 2022!

Grantees: Success Stories

What do grantees have to say?

The Children's Advocacy Center received a community grant to support healing through art...

"Client was excited to decorate the bag, as she wants to be a fashion designer and enjoyed writing in the journal. They asked their therapist to write a positive message in the journal so they can keep it and look at it when they feel sad. Client loved kinetic sand and was excited to have this to use at home when they feel "alone," as kinetic sand is what we use in session to help them feel comfortable opening up."

The Children's Advocacy Center provides therapy to all clients and was able to give art supplies that could help with grounding, processing, and healing from trauma due to the support from the Community Grants Program.

Can we count on you to invest in the Community Grants Program this Giving Tuesday?
