"Client was excited to decorate the bag, as she wants to be a fashion designer and enjoyed writing in the journal. They asked their therapist to write a positive message in the journal so they can keep it and look at it when they feel sad. Client loved kinetic sand and was excited to have this to use at home when they feel "alone," as kinetic sand is what we use in session to help them feel comfortable opening up."
The Children's Advocacy Center provides therapy to all clients and was able to give art supplies that could help with grounding, processing, and healing from trauma due to the support from the Community Grants Program.
