Understanding the issue of climate change and the need for responsible, sustainable travel is of strategic importance to the tourism industry today. Climate change poses a direct threat to both the well-being of tourism as a critical economic sector and to the residents of vulnerable tourism destinations. For this reason, the industry must step up with workable, sustainable solutions for our planet and its people. Not only will this allow the industry to protect the travel experiences they offer and thus remain competitive, but also, it is the right thing to do.
