Celebrating Our Past By Securing Our Future

There is an African Proverb that states, "If we stand tall it is because we stand on the backs of our ancestors." This simple fact underscores how much each generation influences the next. One of the values that defines our work at Chicago Youth Programs is our deep belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive and that this chance should not depend on where they live or what they do not have. We also believe that every child who does not get that chance is robbed of the promise of their future and we are all robbed of who they would become.

In celebration of Black History Month we are celebrating our past, but also asking for your support as we honor our collective future through supporting the lives of those we serve everyday because we all reap the benefits of their thriving.
