Story
HOOORAY!!! We have the house!!
Thanks to all the amazing friends and supporters, The Bridge Priory Trust, family and friends have already raised £300.000
So the house now belongs to The Bridge Priory Trust and we have started a major refurbishment and adaptations to make the property suitable for Faith and Nikki.
Thanks to all your efforts fundraising, the renovations and extension are well underway now and we are delighted with the progress so far.
Further funds will continue to be used to make this property a forever hope for Nikki and Faith and others.
Faith and Nikki have been mates since they were 3. They need a supported living home in their local area, where they can start to live more independently.
They are young adults and currently live with their parents in South Liverpool. However they cannot be looked after forever by their parents, so they need to find an adapted home, so they can become more independent, and where they can transition to supported living, without suffering the trauma of a sudden loss.
They are both registered blind and have severe learning difficulties. They both attend the same social care provision during the week, where they enjoy a variety of activities.
Faith and Nikki are well known and loved members of their local community, where shops, cafes and parks welcome their cheerful presence and quirky habits! Hence their desire to stay living locally.
Faith loves singing, stories and poems. Her favourite activity is performing in front of a crowd! She is quite a diva! Her highlight every Christmas has been singing at Liverpool Football Clubs' community carol service.
Nikki loves trains with a vengeance and has made friends with many of the staff at South Parkway station. He regularly travels to Liverpool central, where he attends a variety of exhibitions and craft workshops at the Liverpool museums. A real culture vulture!
