Story

To help support new SJC Online students, as well as continuing students who face financial challenges that prevent them from purchasing textbooks for their classes in a timely manner, we would like to raise money to continue our tradition of the SJC Online Student Book Fund. Funds raised would enable the SJC Online department to send Barnes & Nobles gift cards to students in need of assistance purchasing textbooks. New students would be identified by financial reporting evaluation based on criteria similar to that of Federal Pell Grant eligibility, and continuing students by student self-identification. The gift cards could be used at the SJC Book store or any Barnes & Nobles location (including their website). Our intended outcome is to be able to provide eligible students with at least a $20 gift card.
