Story
Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) NHS Foundation Trust provides community health services across the city; from health visiting to palliative care, rehabilitation centres to bedded units, dental care to learning disabilities services, and much more! BCHC cares for patients of all ages across the city.
BCHC Charity's mission is to enhance patient experience and improve their time within the care of BCHC services by funding the extras that are not covered by the core NHS funds. These extras are the sorts of things that bring a smile to our patients and their families and carers, and can range from smaller items like books, toys and toiletries all the way up to huge projects like our therapeutic playground for children with prosthetic limbs. We've renovated garden areas, funded beautiful murals, thrown festive parties with food, drink and gifts, provided sensory lighting spaces, entertained patients with music, magic and days out, and loads more!
Big Blue Day is our way of putting the fun in fundraising! Whether it's a suit, dress, hat or other accessory, by donating £2 and wearing your best blue attire, you can help BCHC Charity continue to make a difference across Birmingham. You can be as subtle or as loud as you'd like! Why not go full fancy dress, or get sponsored to dye your hair blue? Alternatively, you could throw a Big Blue virtual party or hold your own Big Blue fundraiser!
