Story

The Big Bike Appeal from Islington Giving and YES Outdoors

Hundreds of Islington residents and families have generously offered to host over 300 Ukrainian individuals and families for at least the next six months. In addition to the existing support available for refugees, Islington Giving and Yes Outdoors have joined forces to offer refurbished bikes to refugees who might benefit from them. The aim is to provide people arriving into Islington with more independence, a means to explore the local area, and free transport. As a bonus, we will be giving old bikes a new life rather than being scrapped.

£10 would cover a helmet for a cyclist

£17 would cover lock and lights for one bike

£55 would cover the costs of full refurbishment and equipment (helmet, lock & lights)

This project could provide people with more independence, a means to explore the local area, and free transport. (Lisa Robinson, Islington Giving)
