Story

Belfast Operatic Company is delighted to partner with local charity, Friends of the Cancer Centre. Throughout the next year, we will be helping the charity raise funds and awareness and we're inviting you to get involved.

As well as holding our own events, all of our members, their family and friends are invited to take part in the charity's events. Some of our members (Colin and Liz Boyd, Adam Callendar, David Magowan and Lauren McRoberts) have already taken part in the Slieve Donard Challenge on 4th September, together raising over £2,410.

The charity's next fundraising activities will be all things Festive Fundraising - such as 'Wear Something Festive / Christmas Jumper Day, Wish Upon A Star, a Santa Skydive and sale of their Christmas cards.

And, if you would like to take on a personal challenge - whether it's a skydive, abseil, coffee morning or afternoon tea, run or swim, sing-a-thon or sponsored silence - please get in contact with Lauren McRoberts. Lauren is a member of Belfast Operatic Company and also works for Friends of the Cancer Centre as the charity's Project & Engagement Officer.

Most importantly, EVERYTHING we do together to support Friends of the Cancer Centre, will help make a difference to local families affected by cancer. You can find out more about the charity's work by visiting www.friendsofthecancercentre.com
