Never was so much owed by so many to so few
The Royal Air Force has shaped our nation. It has influenced how we live our lives today through its impact on world events, society and technology.
The RAF Museum's purpose is to share the story of the Royal Air Force, past, present and future using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inspire and encourage learning. We document and share these stories for the nation, stories like Sqn Ldr Sandy Johnstone.
Throughout 2020 we will be telling the story of the Battle of Britain though schools workshops, events and exhibitions culminating in the 80th anniversary banquet.
