Story
Our webchat service was launched in April 2020, right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has proved invaluable - women use the service to validate their experiences, to seek support and advice, in a safe and confidential way.
The service was set up with funding from the charity Crisis, but in order to extend the opening hours into the weekend we need to raise 15k a year to operate on those additional two days a week.
We know abusers don't just work Monday to Friday, so we need to be there 7 days a week too. In this video staff from BSWA explain why the service is so important.
