Story
One of the strongest hurricanes to impact The Bahamas, Hurricane Dorian has blazed a path of destruction across several islands in the northwest Bahamas.
As a category 5 and then category 4 storm, Dorians fierce winds, enormous sea surges and torrential rains ripped through homes, businesses, and infrastructure in Abaco Island and Cays, Grand Bahama Island and surrounding Cays, and North Eleuthera. Like much of Grand Bahama, the Universitys campus in East Grand Bahama sustained severe flooding and storm damage. Nonetheless, we remain hopeful and prayerful that the University and The Bahamas will rebound.
In the wake of this devastation, we appeal to our friends and supporters to give in support of relief and restoration efforts for The Bahamas and our UB-North campus faculty, staff and students.
