Story
The RBA is a charity and since its inception in 1900 its purpose is to provide assistance to any employee, past or present, provided they have either owned or worked for a BAR Company for a minimum of two years. Where there is genuine hardship, the charity will endeavour to support both them and their families throughout their time of need.
It is the only dedicated charity for the removals and storage industry. For more information, please clink on the following link - https://rba-charity.org/
You never know whats around the corner and in a split second someones life can change and its a wonderful thing to have a charity that can help and support our members in difficult times.
The BAR Young Movers Council would like to do their bit in these challenging times to support those in need. As such, we the BAR YM Council have organised a challenge to raise funds for the Removers Benevolent Association (RBA). YM Council members will be taking on the National Three Peaks challenge in a charity bid to raise funds for the RBA October 2021. What better way to show our commitment than to take on a challenge considered as one of Britains toughest outdoor challenges.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours.
The total walking distance is 26 miles (42km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
The three mountains are:
Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)
We understand the economic uncertainty at this current time however if you could support us by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, we would greatly appreciate it.
