The Axis team are cycling a total of 180 miles, starting at Trafalgar Square followed by Newhaven, Dieppe and then finishing at the Eiffel Tower. Commenting on why they decided to take on the challenge they said:
"Since having my young son Ellis, it has made it more apparent what a great job Demelza do. I have not participated enough in recent years to raise money, so I felt the bike ride was a good way to make a contribution and hopefully raise a good amount of money to help support the charity in the fantastic work they carry out" - Lee Covington, Divisional Manager
"I am undertaking this challenge to support Demelza, and this is easy compared to the difficult challenges faced by all those who benefit from the support and monies raised" - Lee Pearce, Divisional Commercial Manager
"I wanted to give back to society as I feel so lucky and blessed in life, I feel that I have a moral duty to help others that are less fortunate than me. It's been fantastic how much support we are receiving from the subbies, hopefully we will be able to put some smiles on people's faces" - Leslie Crabbe, Quantity Surveyor
"When the opportunity arose I couldn't think of a better reason than to raise money for such a worthy cause while also challenging myself. Axis and the subcontractors have been great in supporting this adventure and have improved the whole experience. This will be an experience I remember for the rest of my life" - Jake Thomas, Quantity Surveyor
"As soon as I heard about the challenge I wanted to be involved. I see it as a great opportunity to push myself, whilst also supporting a great charity at the same time. Hopefully our joint effort can raise a substantial amount of money, which will go a long way to help those less fortunate" - Elliott Pillin, Quantity Surveyor
