Story
Invest in a piece of art and support children and families. We're delighted to share with you the CHAS Online Art Auction, featuring 35 of Scotland's finest artists.
Buying a beautiful piece of art can not only bring you never-ending joy, but it can also be a real investment. Weve all spent weeks in the house spotting things that need fixed or revamped and maybe all it needs is a new piece of art to brighten up a spot in the house or office.
During this pandemic, art galleries have closed and exhibitions have been cancelled. In addition, we've had to cancel all our high profile events, which last year brought in over £500k. So, we have decided to partner up with local artists to do an online art sale that will be mutually beneficial for the artists and CHAS. 50% of all the sales will come to CHAS and the artist will receive the remaining 50%. Not only will you be investing in a beautiful piece of art, but you will have the added feel-good factor that your purchase has made a difference to the lives of CHAS families across Scotland. Its a win-win!
Art therapy plays a big part in the hospices and our activities team spend lots of time with children and families to create lasting memories. However, during the pandemic theyve had to adjust how they work and virtually support our families who are shielding. In March, we launched Scotlands first ever Virtual Hospice. Amongst many other things, 300 activity packs have been sent out to families and there has been a live online art club and numerous YouTube videos made by the activities team to keep the children and siblings entertained. Here is a quote from one of the families:
When youre shielded at home and struggling to find different things to do every day, these activities are invaluable in breaking up the day and bringing a smile to all of our faces!

Please know that any support you can give during this time will make such a difference to our children and families who are facing the toughest journey imaginable. Thank you!
