Hi, I'm Andy Mansell, the Chairman of the Friends of Lakeside Primary School (FoLPS), which supports Lakeside Primary Academy. On 2 October I'll be running the Virtual London Marathon. It's the same as the main marathon except my distance on the day is measured on an app and so I choose the course that I take.

This will be my first (and probably my only marathon) and I've wanted to do one for over 10 years. I'm delighted to be raising money for FoLPS, and also for Frimley Park Hospital. I went to Lakeside back in the 1980's, and I'm under the care of teams at the hospital for Crohn's disease and a stoma. This run is as much about being able to give back as it is a personal goal.
