Story
Beautiful Agnus recently suffered the loss of her home and everything she knows; she is now facing another loss in the form of her right eye.
When Agnus arrived at Abbey Street, we noticed that her right eye was sore, weeping and looked very cloudy. She immediately had a check-up with our vet, who confirmed that her eye is ulcerated, caused by an abnormality of the lower eye lid. Sadly, as Agnus had gone for such a long time without treatment, the damage caused is now irreversible. This has left her permanently blind in that eye.
Unfortunately, her eye is now causing her a lot of discomfort, so our vet has recommended an operation to remove the eye. On top of her eye troubles Agnus has an infection of the womb which has required antibiotics and once well enough she will be spayed. To avoid putting her through two separate operations we are planning on doing both at the same time.
The combined surgery and post-op treatment will cost £600. If you can spare a small amount towards Agnus's surgery, we would be so incredibly grateful. Every penny we raise will help Agnus live a pain-free and happier life. If we beat our target the remaining money will go to other animals in our care who need medical treatments.
We are also looking for a foster home for her to recover in, if you have a child and pet free home where Agnus can get some peace and TLC whilst she recovers. Please get in touch today at animals@rspcaderby.org.uk.
Please take a moment to donate now and wish Agnus a safe and successful operation.
