**Update**

Thank you to everyone who donated and raised funds for our Emergency appeal both online and offline. We very much appreciate the overwhelming response and the amount raised has made a huge difference to the lives of older people already. In the beginning, it helped us start an emergency shopping service to help those who could not get food and prescriptions during lockdown and it meant a lot of our services could continue to provide support throughout this difficult time.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we are inundated with calls from older people in Telford and Shropshire who need our help immediately. So, we have launched an emergency fundraising appeal to raise £20,000 in order to help those most in need and keep our vital services operating.

By donating to this emergency fundraising appeal you can really make a difference to the lives of older people in your neighbourhood. The funds we need now will be spent providing support for older people in Telford and Shropshire, making sure they get the help they need during the current coronavirus crisis.

Older people need your help, your donation will:

Offer a friendly voice to listen and help a lonely older person at this very worrying time.

Support a lonely older person with no family or friends who can talk them through the most up to date government guidance

Ensure one of our trained benefits advisors can be on the end of a telephone to help an older person with benefits advice and assistance with heating and food bills

Help an older person connect with people around them in their neighbourhood if they wish

Your donation at this critical time is greatly appreciated, it will ensure older people in your street, your village, your town, and your county continue to receive the support they need during this crisis.
