Story
Mind BLMK are launching virtually Active April, to help maintain positive mental health in the comfort of your own home. Whether its dancing around your kitchen, lifting beans like weights or joining an online yoga group, it all counts.
Our aim is to keep our local areas moving next month, whilst in self-isolation. We want to create a sense of community online, that will not only boost your mental health and wellbeing but also helps to support vulnerable people across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
Physical activity makes a huge difference in maintaining positive mental health and has a number of other benefits, such as: better sleep, happier moods, and connecting with others.
There are many ways to stay active and this doesnt always mean that you need to run a marathon or lift weights at the gym, its simply about keeping your body moving, in whichever way is comfortable for you.
You can be as creative as you like you could even get your supporters engaged by donning your silliest outfits whilst working out and sharing your pictures online!
Take the pledge today, to get active every day this April in aid of your local community.
