To mark 10 years since the Great British Property Cycle, we're upping the ante and taking on the circumference of the world. Over 80 days we will walk, run, cycle and swim 40,070km as a network to take us one step closer to ending homelessness.

Story

The Fine & Country Foundation awarded over £140,000 last year to charitable organisations all around the world, to help them in their efforts towards ending homelessness.

The funds raised through this challenge will go towards the next round of grants which will take place this autumn. Charities can apply for up to £3,000 of funding towards projects relieving homelessness and poverty.

About the charity

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
