Story

AHRD INSIGHT & IMPORTANCE

The Academy of Human Resource Development conference is an opportunity for HRD PhD students to meet and interact with future colleagues, HRD scholars, and literacy giants. PhD students can learn about current research in the HRD field and up and coming research that would be beneficial in upcoming years. Connections made at this conference can lead to collaboration on research projects with scholars at other institutions, strategic networking for advancement and potential job opportunities.

AHRD is also the professional home of UT Tylers Human Resource Development (HRD) Department. Soules College of Business HRD faculty have been longstanding leaders within AHRD, including:

Dr. Cho, Dr. Ellinger, Dr. McWhorter, Dr. Nimon, and Dr. Wang have served as editors, associate editors, or assistant editors of three of the four journals sponsored by AHRD.

HRD Faculty and PhD students have won many awards in recent years. See a list of distinguished awards won by past conference attendees from the Soules College of Business below.
