The Academy of Human Resource Development conference is an opportunity for HRD PhD students to meet and interact with future colleagues, HRD scholars, and literacy giants. PhD students can learn about current research in the HRD field and up and coming research that would be beneficial in upcoming years. Connections made at this conference can lead to collaboration on research projects with scholars at other institutions, strategic networking for advancement and potential job opportunities.
AHRD is also the professional home of UT Tylers Human Resource Development (HRD) Department. Soules College of Business HRD faculty have been longstanding leaders within AHRD, including:
Dr. Cho, Dr. Ellinger, Dr. McWhorter, Dr. Nimon, and Dr. Wang have served as editors, associate editors, or assistant editors of three of the four journals sponsored by AHRD.
HRD Faculty and PhD students have won many awards in recent years. See a list of distinguished awards won by past conference attendees from the Soules College of Business below.

WHEN IS THE AHRD CONFERENCE:
Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) Conference 2023 will be in Minneapolis, MN March 1-4, 2023.

WHAT IS THE GOAL:
There are currently 53 students enrolled in the HRD PhD program at UT Tyler Soules College of Business. Our goal is to raise $12,000 to send 20 students to the 2023 AHRD Conference. Because of the generosity of the Soules College of Business and other donors, we only need to raise $12,000 for this years conference.
