Story
Suubi Africa UK is a small family run charity based in Durham, set up to support Suubi Africa Village in Uganda. The people here live in one of the poorest parts of Uganda. Over the last 14 years we have built our village which now has two family homes housing 16 orphans, a primary school, a medical centre, a Saturday Club where we feed over 200 local children every weekend and community facilities including an event hall, playground and football field.
Our school and community activities were closed for over two years during the pandemic and just reopened in February 2022. Our team in Uganda have been going out into the community every week to give out food, basic supplies and medicine to the families.
Thank you very much for your support. We hope that you enjoy the challenge. We thought it would be fun to try to climb the highest mountain in Africa! Every penny raised will go to help the children and families who need it most.
