50th birthday

We've been answering calls and supporting our communities for 50 years. We're asking you to raise £50 in our 50th year to help us do even more.
We've been answering calls and supporting our communities for 50 years. We're asking you to raise £50 in our 50th year to help us do even more.
We've come a long way since 1969 . We've trained over 1,300 Samaritans and responded to around 30,000 calls for help a year . We also promote good mental health throughout our communities by working with local agencies and organisations such as:
- Oxleas and South London and Maudsley NHS Trusts
- local schools and universities
- drop-in centres for homeless people like the 999 Club
- Network Rail
- Belmarsh, ISIS and Thameside prisons.
We want to be where the need is, to be there for anyone in our community who is suffering with mental health problems, feels distressed, lonely, unheard or suicidal.
We want to raise more funds to help us:
* increase our outreach work, being there for people who are vulnerable, homeless and who have complex needs
* encourage talking about good mental health and wellbeing across our boroughs
* reach out to more children and young people through schools and youth groups.
