Story
This year the £50 challenge is celebrating the amazing work of our Farleigh nurses and healthcare workers who have been working on the frontline of the pandemic, supporting the NHS and delivering hospice care within peoples homes and out in the community.
The money you raise will go towards supporting our nurses, helping them to continue to care for people living with a life-limiting illness, provide patients and their families with physical, emotional and spiritual care, completely free of charge.
The money you raise will go towards supporting Farleigh nurses like Amelia.
My name is Amelia and I am a Community Nurse Specialist (CNS). I have been working for Farleigh Hospice for seven years and I help people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness manage their symptoms and coordinate their care, now and in the future. I am part of a team of dedicated nurses who work 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide physical, emotional and spiritual care for our patients.
We work alongside Farleighs Hospice at Home Team, who provide personal care and emotional support for our patients as well as their family and friends.
I love being a Farleigh nurse, every day is different and its a real privilege to be welcomed into someones home at such a difficult time.
