Story
2020 has been a very challenging year for everyone. Many in our local community, adults, children and young people, have struggled with mental health problems and found it hard to cope with the difficulties they have been experiencing. Throughout the year, Counselling Care Skye and Lochalsh has always been here to help. Proving much needed counselling help and support to more than 120 adults and 75 children and young people. Some of them have told us, in their own words, what difference that this support has made to them:
The service for those in the darkest of places is a lifeline. I found this exceptionally helpful, with lasting benefit.
Glad to have my counsellor to listen to me and appreciate what I have had to deal with.
It was life changing. It feels like I have released myself from a weight I have been chained to for 20 years
To help us to continue to provide this vital lifeline of counselling support we need your help. Counselling Care Skye and Lochalsh is local charity which relies completely on grant funding and on fund raising efforts, like this one, to pay for the services we deliver. By participating in 25 Winter Walks yourself, or by sponsoring someone else, you can help us to raise money to ensure that we can continue to offer our help to all of those who need it in 2021. Thank you for your support!
