Story
To celebrate Boo Charity's 20th year, we're challenging 23 companies to each raise £1,000 in 2023 for our projects in Kenya.
The last couple of years have been challenging for everyone, but our projects have been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, rising costs and climate change. This year we're on a mission to get our funding back to pre-pandemic levels and create sustainable income-generating projects, to future-proof our Early Childhood Development (ECD) projects and Life-Skills Centre.
The aim of Boo is to help children of Africa disadvantaged through economic poverty. We provide help in a variety of ways, including food, health, education, life skills and emotional support.
The overriding ethos of Boo will always be to provide Opportunity not Charity. As one orphaned youngster we met on our first trip to Kenya said Dont just give me a fish, teach me how to fish.
Boo is a very low cost charity being run by Trustees and a team of volunteers. This enables us to use all your money on our projects, which directly help the children who really need it.
Thank you to everyone who's getting involved and supporting Boo, all the funds raised will make a huge impact on the lives of our students.
