Story
2020 marked 20 years of ShelterBox. We're still celebrating, will you join us?
2020 marked our 20th anniversary year and many of you supported us by taking on the 20 miles for 20 years of ShelterBox challenge, we cant thank you enough for your support.
But we want to celebrate a little bit more. 2020 flew by, many of us felt time was robbed, celebrations were dampened with cancelled birthday plans. We too felt this and wanted to take some time back. So as a final celebration push, were extending our birthday celebrations into January (yes, you can do this too).
This January join us and take on 20 miles for 20 years of ShelterBox. Whetheritslaps of the garden or miles on the road, every penny you raise willhelp us reach more families after disaster.
Here's how:
Step one: Decide on your challenge
Are you thinking of taking the challenge on yourself, with your householdor as a group? Will you walk, run or cycle? Will you complete your challenge within 24 hours orover time? Make sure you follow government advice around social distancing.
Step two: Set up your JustGiving page
Now you know what you're going to do it's time toset up your fundraisingpage. Have a think about how much you would like to raise.
Step three: Link your page to Strava
If you use Strava to track your20miles you can link it to your fundraising page so your friends and family can automatically see how your challenge is going. Here's a handy guide to help.
Step four: Shareyour journey
Let your friends and families know what you're up to by sharing your challenge on your social media.
Step five: Start your challenge!
And you're off! Track your distance using your phone, smart watch or other device and make sure to keep your friends and family up to date with how you get on - good luck!
