Story
World Water Day on March 22nd celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.1 billion people living without access to safe water.
It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis.
For the majority of us, being thirsty or lacking clean water is simply unthinkable. We have drinking water accessible everywhere, all the time.
Unfortunately this is not the case for many people around the world. 1/4 of the population still does not have access to drinking water. Unsafe water kills one person every seven seconds.
There are simple solutions to provide access to drinking water to everyone.
On this World Water Day, March 22, 2024, join us in supporting this cause.
Every drop of water counts.
You are helping to provide lasting solutions to make drinking water available to vulnerable populations in Africa and Asia.
Our goal is to collect £5,000, the equivalent of a year's supply of drinking water for 2,500 children (£2/child)!
1001 thanks for supporting the work of 1001fontaines UK.
