Partnering with the Los Angeles Marathon since 2013, Race 4 Veronika's Place is a volunteer led committee of the St. Monica Holy Cross Africa Ministry. Sponsoring our athletes saves lives. Our team goal is to reach 500 sponsors to serve 500 beneficiaries.
With global instability and climate change, food prices have sky rocketed in the horn of Africa. Our team will participate in more than a marathon by advocating and raising funds for a food program in the community of Dandora, near the city center of Nairobi, Kenya. This monthly food distribution serves patients with HIV/AIDS. It is necessary to have nutrition for their medication to work. You are truly saving lives.
Did you know, the cost of your morning coffee can provide a meal for one family? Consider giving $125 to sponsor one person for an entire one year. Any amount helps and your support goes a long way. Do you have a heart for the poor, for those that are hungry, for those that are experiencing a difficult diagnosis? This food not only sustains them, but supports them emotionally and spiritually.
