Story
London 2 Paris returns in 2023 for another fantastic 4-days of cycling! Up to 300 cyclists of all abilities will be taking to the streets of London and across France for an unforgettable, 4-day 500km, closed-road cycling event to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia. The event takes place from Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th June 2023.
Starting in London the ride takes in the gorgeous Kent scenery before the channel tunnel whisks the riders over to Calais on day one. Then the team winds its way through the beautiful northern French countryside before arriving in Paris a stone's throw from the iconic Eiffel Tower. All participants are committed to raising a minimum of £1,500 for blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia.
Every 14 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer.
Cure Leukaemia invest £1,000,000 each year into 15 blood cancer centres across the UK to form the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network. Specialist research nurses employed as a result of this funding at centres in Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton, Guy's and St Thomas' and UCL will open and run clinical trials of pioneering and potentially life saving treatments for blood cancer.
Around 14,000 people die from blood cancers in Britain each year.
