AAEFI was started in 1985 by a group of civic, community, and fraternal men, who understood that to make a difference in this world, then they would have to take the initiative. The group brainstormed and decided that giving scholarships, providing workshops on leadership and other subjects would help prepare students for college and give them a perspective on learning and preparing for college and life beyond college.

The organization grew and developed over the years to the point where we have given over 200 scholarships and participated in numerous workshops touching the lives of hundreds of students.
