Though you may have previously known us as Walk the Walk, we are now known as Walk with Purpose. Yes, we may have a new name but we are still the same committed team of students that strive to connect with and make a difference in the lives of patients going through cancer treatments. The name Walk with Purpose better suits our mission and goals.
This year we are celebrating our 22nd annual all-school community service event. Join us on April 9, 2022 for a fun-filled morning and afternoon. The Walk with Purpose is an annual student-led event to benefit pediatric cancer research. Our goal is to increase attention and support for cancer awareness through many activities.
This year the Walk with Purpose committee, chairs, and co-chairs have created new and innovative events. We have worked tirelessly to do as much hands-on work as possible. We have teamed up with the middle school knitting club in order to distribute the knitted blankets and hats to patients going through chemotherapy. We have met with nurses and created plans to be as connected as possible with these patients. This is by far the year we have been the most hands-on, which is a feat considering the current state of everything. During the Halloween/fall season, the members of Walk with Purpose filled bags with candy and treats for the children in treatment. We also wrote handwritten notes to the doctors, nurses, patients, and families. These personalized notes included jokes, pictures and whatever we could think of to make these important people smile. We wanted to make this a meaningful experience for these patients and leave a positive lasting impression.

We would like to thank you for supporting our Walk with Purpose in the past and would appreciate your support once again. We understand that last years 5k was virtual, and hope that you can walk with us in person this year! Please stay healthy and safe!
Thank you!
