BRAvo! began in 2011 with the idea of taking a serious and scary subject and talking about it in a fun way; thus BRAvo! Busting Out Against Breast Cancer began. In the early years there would be a Busting out in Pink party, the Signature Event, but the kick off every year was the Gallery of Bras.

The Gallery of Bras is an opportunity to honor those who have overcome their battles with cancer and the legacies of those who have not. The creators are able to design their bra in any theme, varying from comedic pop culture to beautiful art designs. Additionally, the creators have the opportunity to Honor or Remember those that have been impacted by breast cancer.

Once the bras have been received, inventoried, and photographed, we begin to create the Gallery of Bras. The Gallery is hosted in our MacDowell Art Gallery on the 2nd floor of the Occupational Care Center, and surrounding businesses when there are more bras than the Gallery can handle. Voting for our favorite bras has become one of the most exciting things in the community.

Voting this year will be based on donation. Whether your donating small or large, the dollars raised all go directly back to BRAvo! and providing care for mammograms.
