Move-A-Thon! Reach a distance or duration goal in your activity of choice and help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 for Help Us Help Projects!

Challenge yourself to bike, run, swim, paddle, jump rope, dance, walk, or any activity in one day, OR reach a cumulative distance in any activity throughout the last two weeks of summer (August 16-31)!

It's YOUR fundraiser! YOU choose the activity, the distance, and the Help Us Help Project you would like to fundraise for!

STEPS:

1. FILL OUT THIS: FORM (https://forms.gle/zHBf25VN1BoDNrbJ9)

2. CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE. Press the Orange Button (to the right) to become a fundraiser for Help Us Help's Independent Move-A-Thon Campaign! Then, personalize your page to include Steps 3 to 5!

3. SET A GOAL. This can be ANY distance or ANY duration in ANY activity! Not sure what your goal should be? Challenge yourself to run a marathon or cycle a centurion! Not sure if you can reach your goal in one day? Spread it out over one week or throughout the last two weeks of summer!

4. PLEDGE TO COMPLETE THE GOAL. Pledge to run, bike, swim, walk, paddle - whatever activity you want! - a specific distance or for a specific duration within the last two weeks of summer.

5. FUNDRAISE. Time to share! Share your fundraising page and Move-a-Thon with your network through social media, direct email, and other media channels to spread the word and fundraise for your initiative.

The Help Us Help Team will be highlighting participants/teams on our social media throughout the duration of the Move-a-Thon to assist in sharing your activity and supporting you and your team! Update your supporters by posting photos and/or Strava updates on your fundraising page!

GREATEST NEED. You can fundraise for whatever cause is in greatest need of funding at any given time!

THE VETERANS. The funds raised will go towards Veterans' Relief Programs in Ukraine, including Mobile Support Services, Peer-to-Peer Training for Spouses of Veterans, The Return Retreat, Weekly Veteran Support Group Meetings, and Post-Combat Humanitarian Assistance programs. Learn More!

SCHOLARS. The funds raised will assist graduates of the orphanage system and children of fallen servicemen and women in obtaining a post-secondary education in Ukraine. The aim of the program is to ease the financial burden for students as well as to provide mentorship that assists in their development. It costs $2500 CAD per year to support one Help Us Help Scholarship Student. Learn More!

CHILDREN. The funds raised will be applied towards Ruslana's Summer Camp and Winter Camps for orphaned and disadvantaged children in Ukraine. The camps focus on teaching transferable life and leadership skills as well as providing psychological support, all while having fun! (These camps are currently postponed due to COVID-19 Quarantine Measures). Learn More!
