Story
For the past 41 years, Leadership Memphis has focused on engaging the best leaders in the Mid-South and empowering them to move Memphis forward. Leaders cannot lead alone. We must invest in our community to create the changes we want to see. We must invest in the future by recruiting the next generation of leaders to our cause. We must invest in Leadership Memphis to continue making a difference.
Year in and year out, people ask us, What does Leadership Memphis do? Our mission statement says, we prepare and mobilize leaders to work together for the good of the whole community. Those words don't fully encompass Leadership Memphis impact on our city. Simply put, Leadership Memphis inspires leaders to step up to the plate.
Our alumni take Leadership Memphis vision and put it to work making Memphis better. Your community impact is felt through establishing business opportunities for diverse innovators, creating new events to boost nonprofit efforts, and committing resources toward helping those that need it most. Leadership Memphis impacts Memphis through our alumni and your impact is much more than a mission statement.

We recently spoke with our new board members to ask them their thoughts about Leadership Memphis, the difference its made in them, and how they have used what they learned to make our community better. We believe their thoughts make a great argument for investing in Leadership Memphis and have included some of them here.
Would you make a commitment this year to:
Invest in Community
Invest in the Future
Invest in Leadership Memphis
Growing up here in Memphis, you think you've been there, done that, seen it all. There's so much more to this city when you peel back the layers and that's what you do in Leadership Memphis. You meet people from all walks of life within these layers. That's appealing and that's growth right there. - Carol Johnson (EC2015), President, Spaces Group.
Leadership Memphis really let me realize that Memphis has a lot of good things going on. So many nonprofits, so many church activities, and so many companies that I never realized do so much for various organizations and I think it exposes you to that. [Leadership Memphis] makes you more proud of the 901, you're a better Memphian, and it lets you know that its your role as a corporate citizen to be more involved in your community. - Dan Weddle (EC2017) , President/CEO, Protech Services Group Inc.
