Story
For the past ten years, Dueling Against Cancer has provided a night of music, comedy and improv with the popular Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos as we gathered together for an entertaining evening to support cancer care in Stevens Point.
Sadly this year for the health and safety of all our supporters, we are not able to have the actual event. Because of this, now more than ever we need your generous support!
Cancer does not wait for things to get back to normal and your donation will ensure that patients and their families receive the best care possible, while having the support and resources needed in the fight against cancer.
Your support will provide:
- Local care at the Marshfield Clinic Stevens Point Cancer Center, providing integrated cancer care including medical oncology and hematology services, private chemotherapy infusion suites, radiation oncology, pharmacy services, clinical research trials, and cancer care education and support services
- Tumor Analyzer as a more efficient resource to indicate signs of cancer.
- Patient and family support groups, comfort packs for newly diagnosed patients, materials for caregivers, and special support packs for the children
- Krause Pediatric Cancer Angel Fund and Endowment: supporting pediatric cancer families with basic non-medical needs like lodging, gas, groceries, car maintenance, housing, etc.
- iPads and iPods that are available to patients to use during their appointments
- Empower Me/ Everyday Wellness: A free event that runs twice a year for community members interested in healthy lifestyle management and mindfulness
- Comfortable infusion chairs in a warm, inviting, and healing environment.
- Shine on Boutique providing new wigs, hats and scarfs

"Having been diagnosed with two different types of cancer 12 months apart was devastating. In the midst of the turmoil and illness, I was treated with compassion, kindness, and respect. The nurses and staff worked hard to make each treatment pleasant and comfortable, while dealing with their changing medical needs. The doctors, the nurses, and the staff make the Marshfield Clinic Stevens Point cancer center special, for they spend the extra effort to compassionately care for each patient.
