A brave girl is still receiving monthly infusion treatments her body needs. Tiny babies have spent months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit growing stronger. A young boy works hard to regain his motor skills after a life-threatening accident. A child is bravely battling cancer every day.
Although being in the hospital is never easy, this year brought added challenges. Thanks to you, care teams have been able to provide the same expert care they always have along with a wide range of extra support including:
*Latest equipment and technology to better treat and care for pediatric patients.
*Individualized activities led by Child Life Specialists to encourage recovery, coping and play.
*Emotional support, which was especially important as family and friends weren't able to visit at times due to necessary visitor restrictions.
*Virtual activities and mental health resources for any child, including those at home that may have never needed to be hospitalized.
*Music Therapy to aid in healing, expression and relaxation.
Your support is crucial in allowing us to provide these services and so much more. We may not know what next year will bring, but we are certain children will get sick or hurt and need specialized, compassionate care. With your help, we will be there for them.
