Story

Cornerstone provides a safe and warm environment in which our clients can access our services. As a day centre, we serve breakfast from 10.30AM, a hot lunch, sandwiches, and tea and coffee throughout the day. We also provide shower and laundry facilities, clothing shop, free haircuts, computer suite to help clients apply for jobs, housing, benefits and immigration. We help people facing a wide range of issues including homelessness, poverty, social isolation, mental health problems, drug and alcohol addiction.

Our Safe Haven pods serve rough sleepers and those experiencing destitution so that they can have a roof over their heads, showers and hot meals in the evening. Every night we can accommodate up to 30 people this include the temporary shelter as a winter provision during the cold weather months.

At Cornerstone, clients not only offered a warm welcome during the day and shelter at night. Our staff and volunteers are happy to assist people applying for permanent accommodations and applying for jobs to help clients get back on track. We have bilingual staff and volunteers who can assist clients with many different cultural backgrounds. We have night staff and evening cook to look after people in our pods.
