Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page that's been set up to fundraise for 100 Gift of Hope Packs for bereaved parents, in memory of the Children of Jannah.
You are a hero and we're really grateful to have your support.
What is a Gift Of Hope Pack?
A Gift of Hope pack is Children of Jannah's flagship product. It provides the benefit of not only addressing the subject of child loss and grief but also providing evidence and teachings from the Quran and Sunnah thereby providing the personal, spiritual and faith-based support which is so important to so many.
With exclusive content and resources, reminders and the opportunity to write down feelings, the Gift of Hope pack is unique, precious and vital to so many who are experiencing the turmoil of grief alone.
What are the Benefits of a Gift Of Hope pack?
The Gift of Hope support pack helps by:
1. Providing support that reflects the Muslim faith.
2. Providing a resource to turn to at any time.
3. Explaining some of the questions you or someone you know may have about the loss of their child.
4. Explaining some of the emotions that may be experienced in grief.
5. Giving parents a way to express their grief and turn to their faith for comfort.
Also included are duas to help parents to express the way they feel to Allah (SWT) and seek His help and guidance, thereby experiencing peace in His remembrance.
What is the 2.6 Challenge?
The idea is that participants choose a challenge, any challenge at all, related to 2.6 or 26 (the number of miles in a marathon) and then ask friends and family to sponsor them to try to make up some of the money lost through the Covid-19 lockdown.
Whether you're running around your home for 2.6 miles, doing 26 press-ups with your cat on your back, skipping for 2.6 minutes with your neighbour over the garden fence, or something else just as imaginative were delighted you're helping to save Children of Jannah as one of the UKs charities.
Celebrities are also getting involved in the challenge: Paul Chuckle (of Chuckle Brothers fame) is running around the apple tree in his garden; Jessica Ennis-Hill is hitting a golf ball 26 times with a cheese grater; and Jonny Wilkinson is doing 26 keepie uppies with various balls.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. You are helping Children of Jannah when we need it most.
Please plan your activity, make sure it is safe, at or near your home and that it adheres to Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing during the lockdown. Please do not try anything too strenuous and always make sure you are well hydrated before exercising.
Once you're ready, remember to help to inspire the nation by sharing photos or videos of your challenge, tag your friends on social media and challenge them to join in too, making sure you use the official hashtag #TwoPointSixChallenge
Right now, be sure to promote this fundraising page via your emails, WhatsApp and social media posts.
